From Canada to Clyde Songa Has Atlantic Spirit

The 13000 ton tanker ATLANTIC SPIRIT has recently went to the Clydeside ship managers Songa of Paisley.

Previously managed by McKeil Marine of Canada, the chemical oil tanker built in 2011 as OSTTANK SWEDEN now bears the name SONGA ATLAS.

Songa Shipmanagement are a long standing company in Scotland, part of the Blystad Group, with the Paisley office acting as managers for Blystad's tankers.

forthandclyde.co.uk spotted the name change to SONGA ATLAS this morning (Friday 20th March 2026) as the vessel made its way off the Portugal Coast on a voyage from Barcelona to Bilbao.

As well as the identities above, the vessel was named ADFINES STAR from 2011 to 2020, its original name being a brief one.
