ITAITE

Brazilian ITAITE departing from King George V Dock in 1975. Loved the flared bow on this series of ships.

I am absolutely certain I saw this ship as a teenager....I had, and still do, have a thing for over-plated bows! I think the trend began in the 1950s and I recall reading an article somewhere where a contemporary of that era bemoaned the new fashion...to me it made a ship look VERY grand and beautiful.
