KRISTIN SCHEPERS - Vessel seems to have limped into and out of the Forth

KRISTIN SCHEPERS, the container ship that was bound for Teesport and has been at anchor the last 48 hours or so in the Firth of Forth is now apparently being escorted out by EN AVANT 26 both vessels doing roughly 4 knots.

The ship had no destination in the Forth and her appearance did seem to me at the time to indicate the vessel was in some difficulties and had sought safe harbour.

If it is indeed the case she IS being towed out, it suggests strongly the problem is ongoing and critical.
