Information update:: Forth System Upgraded
Posted by Forth & Clyde Control on 29-10-2025 02:03
The Forth system has now been upgraded. Prior to upgrade the system could not automatically set the expected Forth arrivals as completed, not properly. This had now been fixed. I really ought to have been in bed hours ago, but could not rest till I saw the system settle down!
The logs are a bit messed up due to misplaced code as I duplicate the Forth system to match Clydes, however that has been fixed now too.
Of note is you can track the Forth pilots (unable to do that with the Clyde's) so this encourages me to further upgrade the Forth's capabilities in predicting vessel movements. Often on the Forth a port destination arrival actual means arrival in the Forth itself and ships can wait a day or even more at anchorages before actually making it to the planned port itself.
When pilots are seen going out, therefore, it could indicate potential movement from an anchorage...I shall look into this further and observe before coding any further.
For tonight,. I 've seen the arrival work and reset, now I need to observe departures and make sure they do the same to the Forth's Ships Expected system, but that's tomorrow's work! (Or rather later today's)
:-)
