Information update:: AIS Map Upgrade - Totally New Functionality and Capabilities

Very pleased to report a successful implementation of a vastly improved Forth and Clyde system AIS Map.
Whilst the old map was in itself a powerful in-house construct, it has no functionality except to show colour coded ships icons in the Forth and Clyde zones.
It retains the above but now also includes all vessels bound for home ports in the Clyde and Forth that the systems back end AIS Listener can see, and also adds a very powerful search feature.
Simply type in a home port (Glasgow, Leith, Greenock, Grangemouth etc etc - bearing in mind this works for the port names actually recognised as commercial ports in our total system) and instantly any and all ships bearing that name in their destination will show. Anywhere the listener sees them, so now at a glance you can see the positions of these ships so long as it is in the bounds of our listener and available to it.
Powerfully, you can also simply tap in a ships name, and if it's in our listeners system and bound for the home ports or in the Forth and Clyde zones, it will show on the map alone.
These are game changing new features on the map and makes searching for ships and ships expected an instant visual tool.
