There currently appears to be signal loss from Grangemouth area. If this persists, the site will put into operation a function that can accurately predict when a ship arrives and when it departed (based on ships speed and past vessels' histories. This requires new routines but the system is a proven one and in the case of the Forth, very easy to work around, this means the log book will remain intact, and Ships Expected's systems can work as normal.

Implementation will occur if this AIS failure persists longer than one day both to maintain records integrity and ensure arrivals and departures are written in to keep the system working.
